I had a great experience at General RV. The funny thing about the internet is people only come out to complain. I'd be willing to bet that 10 times as many people have good experiences to the bad experiences, but people seldom talk about how great their experience was. I'm here to say I've never been disappointed with General RV. Add comment

I STARTED THE PROCESS OF BUYING NEW FIFTH-WHEEL IN NOVEMBER OF 2015 IN WAYLAND MICH. . I FINALLY RECEIVED IT 1 MONTH LATE WITH NO UPDATES FROM MY SALESPERSON UNLESS I WENT IN AND ASKED THE QUESTION . My wife and I went to general and we were high presured by a salesman. We were asked how long we have been looking for a RV and we told him for a couple years. I looked at a popup camper dec 22nd,,they assumed that i was going to buy it that day,,i didnt. 2 weeks later (jan 4th) i did buy it. The paperwork was done on dec 22nd,,my driveaway plate was done on that date,,well the plate expired on jan 21st,,now i own a camper that i cant get registered here or my home state of Colorado because i cant get (ANYONE) to do anything to help me with this... Bought a 2016 Excursion, Model B. Dover Florida Promised 15 hours on Generator Only to find out 156 hours with no Service Record...of oil Change at 20 hours as Recommended by Onan. Asked for a New Generator. DENIED Bought this on the Promise everything was Brand New... I expect the Generator to be Replaced.. I went to the Tampa show jan 15,16th 2016, found the summerland 3030bhgs. They had a sale price of 24,999.00. Husband wanted some changes done, so because the trailer at show was sold, they offered to do the changes on the production line no charge, lol. bought a brand new coach, they serviced it for 6 months, finally the maker took it to the factory. General Rv is the worst, they made the repairs worse, because they make money on warranty. Chris D from Wixom was the worst, the owners never would call back. I would stab myself in the neck with a pencil before I ever bought from General again. Love this dealership from finance department to service department. They all make you feel like family! Special shout out to Joe in sales / Kim in service / Bob in delivery / These folks are great. We had bought rv from other large local dealer in Tampa and after the sale we never felt as welcome as we do at the General RV in Tampa. They treat hourly employees and flat rate employees like trash. While the owners,management and salaried are making a killing the guys behind the scenes are almost starving, it's pretty bad when a employee of 3 years almost has to struggle to make ends meet on 700$ every 2 weeks, and they don't have enough work for the tech's but u keep hiring more. You wonder why your employees are dropping out... Read more

The problem comes with service. No one answers the phone they argue over issues that you have saying that there is no way that could happen warranty is meaningless poor customer support. I would never buy there again because of the poor service that is in the service department.
