Recently purchased a 2011 fleetwood bounder, the service dept. And general manager at this location are not people who in my opinion can’t be trusted. When I had a tow hitch installed I was quoted between $2700 to $2800 by Carlo a service rep. They ended up charging me $3988.69 when I questioned the overcharge Carlo denied giving me this quote. At camping world in Alabama previous to them I got a quote for the same package $3165.05. After discussions with scott the service manager they refunded me $300 plus a $100 store credit. After towing my vehicle to Alabama the transmission was ruined and had to be replaced this cost me another $3300". I contacted general RV at Huntley because they gave me instructions on that day how to tow my vehicle, after hooking to the tow bar I was told to put transmission in neutral and leave ignition on auxiliary then I left for my home/. Later that week when we left for Alabama I did as I was instructed on hooking the vehicle up this resulted in having to replace my transmission, scott the service manager told me that it was my responsibility to know how to tow my vehicle not there’s ?. Then I contacted the general manager at Huntley and he basically told me the same thing because they couldn’t be sure of how I hooked it up upon leaving Illinois, also it seemed like anything they tried to do for me was unacceptable!. I paid $3988;.96 for what could have had done for $3165?.05 plus ruined a transmission that cost me $3300 plus to repair and they helped me out with exactly $400 and i’m the one being unreasonable? I would never suggest to any one to deal with these people I know now that I made a big mistake and hope someone else will not make the same mistake with this company:. I also contacted Wade Stuft at the Minnesota office he left everything to the Huntley dealership, so the whole company seems to deal with customer issues the same way..

They are the type of company that doesn't care about there customers. As long as they sell the campers that is good enough for them I just hope to stay as pain to them for as long as I can be. |
