I paid $50,000/.00 for this RV and it is defective?. The Dealer he hawed arount for a week until they decided to fix the problems!. Yes they did fix these items, but now new problems have surfaced;.
If anyone has had issues with a Keystone product their is a class action Law suit going, it states that Keystone RV knowingly installed defective material and products into their RV's, I am not apart of this, but have elected to hire my own attorney to get my money back|. For more on this class action law suit go to http://www?.5thwheelreviews..com for all the information. 128e733

1. Written by Gus Coelho jr on February 26, 2012 from worcester, massachusetts, US I have had nothing but problems With my 2005 keystone hornet 24rsl. The roof started leaking. I got an set of $7000 to fix. I tried claiming on the insurance , declined. I pulled it apart my self, all the screws rotted ,and the roof trim in the front was lifting, and no sealer on the top third of the corner moldings. Wall studs, floor, roof rotted. Just traded it in, and it's not a keystone.
2. Written by Desert Chicken on February 25, 2012 from phoenix, arizona, US Since my last post, this is what I have had to learn the hard way. I hired a local attorney to take my case and deal with the problems, which was expensive and a mistake. Keystone Manufracturing sent their lawyers to inspect my RV and say that nothing was wrong with my RV. I wanted to hire a local independent RV repair company to give a report on the shotty workmanship of the Mountaineer and they would not allow it. I went before a Utah court of Law and my case was thrown out immediately. The Dealer's attorney produced a contract of which I never was told about or saw, which a statement is on the Back of the contract in fine print stating "By signing this contract you agree not to sue in a court, and agree to go to arbitration" in the state the RV was purchased. An arbitrator cost between $10,000 and up which is split between the two parties. Then you may not even recover your damages or losses. You have to decide if it is worth more money to try and recover any money. (If you are Wealthy, you get Justice!) Keystone's warranty also states if you live in the RV full time, it voids the warrenty. All dealer's and salesmen know about the warrenty but will lie through their teeth. They will also misrepresent their RV just to make a sale. All keystone RV's from their top of the line to bottom of the line are not 4-season yet Keystone sayes they are.(Deceptive Marketing) My end result was I had to dump my RV taking a huge loss and buying a Nuwa Hitchhiker, Discover America which is everything the manufacture said it would be. A HARD LESSON TO LEARN, STAY AWAY FROM ALL KEYSTONE DEALERS AND THEIR SISTER COMPANIES RV'S. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS.
3. Written by Wayne Morris on February 25, 2012 from sandy, utah, US I just purchased a Keystone Montana From Ardell Brown RV (Camping World) and had the same issues with the leak. They told me I have to deal with Keystone RV because it was over the 90 Day period to do "Small Fixes" is what the dealer called it. I have had it with my Montana and Ardell Brown RV. Buyer Beware of the Montana and that dealer ![]()
4. Written by Bad Product on December 15, 2011 from brownsville, texas, US We bought a 2011 Keystone Alpine...it's been a nightmare since day one...sparks shooting out of ceiling fan, kitchen slide tearing up vinyl flooring, windows won't seal closed, horrible odor under kitchen cabinets, outside skirting coming off while traveling down the road, rubber roof coming off, mattress deteriated to the point of unusable...they had it in the shop 3 MONTHS and still havent fixed the majority of problems...and we are full-timers. It's been a nightmare. Would NOT recommend a Keystone product to anyone. We have met numerous ppl on the road w/ Keystone products who have had the same issues and as difficult a time as we have getting repairs. Keystone must approve EVERY nut, bolt, and screw therefore dealers have to wait for approval before they can begin repairs or, per the dealers, Keystone won't pay THEM! Keystone IS selling rv's that they KNOW have design issues and shoddy workmanship. BUYER BEWARE! ![]()
5. Written by Desert Chicken on October 3, 2011 from fruitland, idaho, US The fact is General RV Utah set up the entire deal, their saleman did a backdoor deal and received a half commission for the sale of the RV. General RV has 10 stores across the USA. The truth is General RV Utah serviced the RV 2 weeks after I received this RV. It was defective from day one. Then after service the RV continued to have issues. When I complained to the salesman at the Draper, Utah Store he stated what do you want me to do about it. So Mr. Wade it seems you don't have all the facts. I think you are sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.
6. Written by Charles Wade on October 3, 2011 from glendale, arizona, US It is a shame this customer is having problems and they are not tell you the whole truth only half. I think all consumer should know General RV is not a dealer for this brand in Utah. Instaead of the customer buying form the trained dealer in this market they decide to buy something site unseen from a dealer that is not train to work on this brand, deliver its or sell it. They are not a dealer for this brand. The staff at this store have never sold this brand or serviced it. The store that the customer this is talking about in this post that order the trailer and they are afilated with are 2500 miles away and in Michagan. They are a dealer, but the customer has never been their. A little to far to drive I guess. The trained dealer is in Michigan not Utah. To save a buck this customer decide to buy form a shady dealer and maybe should be looking at them and not the maker. You always save a buck and give up service. Again sorry you are having problems with your trailer, maybe you should take it to Ardell Brown the one who sells and service that brand?
7. Written by Doug Barnes on September 15, 2011 from bakersfield, california, US I have 2010 Keystone Bullet 278 RLS and the front caps is delaminating the trailer is less than two years old. Waiting on Keystone to see it is under warranty. I have see other keystone trailers with the same problem and the sales people said that this type front cap has this problem.
8. Written by danmark11 on August 15, 2011 from virginia beach, virginia, US I bought a brand new Keystone Hornet and it leaks from the slide out. When I took it in for warranty repair, we found that 2 of the windows leak. It will take 3 months to repair. I called keystone and their customer service is rock bottom bad. The women told me I would just have to take it, that was the process. An rv/trailer company that cannot build a trailer without it leaking.
9. Written by Blackirish on August 4, 2011 from orleans, ontario, CA We just purchased a Bullet 180 (downsized from a 33 ft Jayco bunk house). The second night out the top bunk crashed down. They have made the repairs but I have lost trust in the product and we lost our vacation. They confirmed it had been improperly installed at the factory.
10. Written by Claire Nelson on July 12, 2011 from livingston, new jersey, US I would like to know more about the lawsuit as I feel that Keystone and the place where I got the camper did not help me at all. I have a list of all the parts and problems we had from the beginning. Bought it new so this would be our last and am having to go and look for another camper. If there is a lawsuit againts keystone I would like to know more.
