We purchased a 2014 PrimeTime Tracer from General RV of Draper UT early this spring. During the initial negotions and selecting a specific trailer, Rob Terry, told us to look at the website to understand the standard features of the trailer and to learn more about the manufacturer as well, he said he could not provide us any current brochures. Upon review of the Primetime website one of the most convincing standard features of the 2014 model was the "thermal shield" or covered and vent heated underbelly. This was a must for us as we are primarily mountain campers and it can sometimes drop below freezing when we are camping. This made our decision and we emailed Rob to let him know we would take it and asked for a time to come in and sign.

Fast forward to our first trip using the trailer when we discovered that we had very little hot water pressure in our sink. While digging around to find the problem, I noticed we had no covered under belly, meaning we had no thermal shield, that was supposed to be a standard feature on 2014.

We tried to contact Rob about this when we got back but that proved to be all but impossible once you have purchased. Once we were finally able to get him on the phone to discuss the issue he became very defensive and very rude. At one point calling me a liar, and letting me know that my wife and I were some of the most nitpicky and difficult clients he had ever sold to. At one point he blamed us for not knowing and told us we should have climbed underneath the trailer to check that the shield was there. At that point my wife got involved. She spoke with a rep from tracer and supposedly Rob Terry's manager. None of them could give us a reason as to why our 2014 tracer didn't have the 2014 standard features. They kept providing us with the 2013 brochure saying we should refer to it even though our trailer was a 2014. In the end Rob and the manufacture refused to do anything about the issue and denied misleading us. He said it was our fault for not noticing it did not have the thermal shield. General RV was supposed to be getting back to us and still to this day we have not heard back.

Side note we have had a multiple problems with this trailer: grey tank release lever broke on third camping trip, husband had to reattach one jack because the tack welds broke and they had only provided one screw to hold it, the Fridge light never worked, both awning clips were broken before it was even purchased, plumbing for the hot water to the sink had such severe kinks that only a drizzle would come out, and now the kitchen sinks plumbing leaks so bad that the trailer is currently not even usable. I would not recommend buying from General RV, it has been the worst experience! In addition due to the manufactures unwillingness to back their own product and what they advertise as standard features I would also recommend avoiding purchasing a PrimeTime trailer.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

I agree they are absolutley horrible and we are going through the same things, but not through General RV but through Campingworld. The cost of repair of this camper is more than what we paid for it brand new. Horrible customer Service.

We have not purchased this brand of camper but we have had a similar experience with our Syndney Keystone outback 5th wheel with manufacturer and dealer. We were looking at other units but won't consider this brand.

Thanks for the post. Today it's hard to find a manufactor or dealer to stand behind their product.

Anybody out there with a unit that has performed to expectation and received good service from a Georgia dealer please share. We are definetly looking to trade but will keep looking until we get good reviews on a unit, dealer and manufacturer.

We got a used camper from General RV in Michigan in 2013. Went camping right out of the parking lot.

Our converter box had gone bad the first night along with one tank of propane. We called them and returned back there after our vacation and they took very good care of us.

A brand new converter box and a new tank of gas. I think it's the person more than the place of business in a lot of these situations.
